Mia is a board-certified Licensed Acupuncturist holding a Master of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine from Texas Health and Science University and a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration from Central Michigan University. She has also completed coursework through the Institute for Functional Medicine, with board certification anticipated by 2027.
Mia came to acupuncture as a child because of tendonitis in her foot from playing sports. One treatment and the pain was completely gone. After a few years in health insurance operations, she knew she wanted more than a desk job. She wanted to be with patients, make a real impact, and support people in their holistic health journey. In 2021, she moved to Austin to pursue acupuncture school and has loved being here ever since.
Mia’s clinical focus spans reproductive health, pain management/sports medicine, internal medicine and GI disorders, and advanced cosmetic acupuncture and dermatology. Mia takes a deeper approach to her care by implementing functional medicine techniques into her acupuncture treatment plans along with advanced lab testing for both men and women.
