This fascination led me to study our world more deeply obtaining an undergrad degree in anthropology / archaeology and psychology. Working as an archeologist in the Belizean jungles and seeing the locals use the natural remedies surrounding them, blew my mind. I once got an almost instant skin rash by brushing against a tree, my co-worker (a native) immediately chopped a
twig off that same tree and the inner liquid healed it almost as quickly. He said, “poison on the outside, cure on the inside” – this changed me forever.
I sought healing for problems that western medicine couldn’t touch in 2002. Within a week of my first acupuncture treatment and bottle of herbs, I felt 90% better, and like myself again. Soon after I realized that this medicine was my calling! I joyfully enrolled at the AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine and completed my studies in 2006 when my son was very small. I’ve practiced
in the Austin area for 13 years and never looked back.
I happily treats all conditions, but specialize in emotional pain and psychological concerns such as stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, recovery, and PTSD. I have worked with Acupuncturists Without Borders, taught Qi Gong and practice transcendental meditation.
