Did you know that drinking “water with lemon or lime juice” in the morning is a great way to start your day?
In the morning, our body is more toxic and acid because during the night it goes through a natural detoxification process to eliminate waste in our system. It is also in the morning when our body experiences a higher level of dehydration.
Before breakfast, drink a 12 oz glass of lukewarm water with the juice of a lemon or lime.
Water cleanses your organism and helps flush the toxins accumulated in our body´s natural detox process. If you drink it lukewarm, it evaporates easier into your system and aids with the cleansing process.
Even though the nature of the citrus fruit is acid to the taste, it helps reduce the acidity of the toxins generated through the night because the byproduct it generates in the body is alkaline.
You can also add cucumber and mint to your morning glass of water with lime. Cucumbers are one of the most hydrating vegetables because they are mostly made up of water and adding them to your water pulls out their minerals to give you an added benefit. The mint makes things taste fresh and crisp, and goes nicely with the lemon and cucumber while providing additional nutrients and benefits.
